Project Description

The Liberty Hill Regional Wastewater Facilities included:

  • 2,400 gpm influent lift station.
  • 2,200 feet of 16-inch force main.
  • 265 feet of boring and jacking for 16-in force main.
  • 400,000 gallon per day sequencing batch reactor (SBR).

  • 2,400 gpm effluent lift station.
  • 7,800 feet of 16-inch effluent force main.

The project design was started when Mr. Allen was employed by Baker-Aicklen & Associates Inc. After establishment of AEG in 2004, the LCRA requested that AEG remain involved in the project as Project Manager. The project was particularly challenging due to stringent effluent limitations of 5.0 mg/L BOD5, 5.0 mg/L TSS, 2 mg/L ammonia nitrogen, 0.50 mg/L total phosphorous and 5.0 mg/L dissolved oxygen and required close coordination with the Owner and all Team Members, including sub-consultants for surveying, geotechnical, structural, environmental, and electrical in order to achieve our project schedule. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Services Provided:

AEG managed the design for the entire project and provided the design of key project elements.steel tankage, effluent equalization facility, tertiary filters, U.V. disinfection and the effluent lift station.
